Is winter coming?

Today woke up at 10 in the morning. Why so early in Saturday morning? Because I didn`t go to Craiova to party.. Again.. Why? A bit short of money and, actually, I`m not such a party person like my too lovely roommates ... Next month I`ll catch up! How did I spend my Friday evening in Segarcea? Hahahaha. Well.. Slept in the bed all the day, watched movies, cooked and.. that sums it up.

So, woke up, made some breakfast.. Then I realized that it`s too cold in my room. Made a plan to go to the room outside, where the dry wood is, and chop it, to start the fire. Looked outside the window-boom! Snow. Nice.

Okay. Went to the room and saw, that there is no wood left. ANNA!!! He,he,he. Okay, no problem. Took the wet wood from our wood storage. Chopped some of it and tried to star the oven ( soba ). Miracle. Actually succeeded in it. With a smile on my face went to bed to make some friendship bracelets-had to remember how to do that because of our plan.. The plan is to make many bracelets and then go to important persons to exchange them for donation in order to collect money for a projector.

No more boring details.

Winter here is a bit different than in Latvia (nothing new). You ask why? (Probably not, because everything is clear) Because it`s a bit wormer, no snow so far (yes, some snow for few hours, but that doesn`t count). The only ice I saw was in the puddles in front of the secondary school. The temperature is not so low ( no -24 or -20) but the wind gets pretty strong in this small town. I think it`s because the main road is straight and there are not so many trees also, so the it has some space to pick up the speed.

All the time when the strong wind is in the town, Diānas eyes are running some water. But, again. Who am I to complain, should be thankful that it`s not freeeeeeeeeezing cold.

What else.. Yes, my motivation is very very very low, but I`m meditating to get it back.

But the most important thing is……….in few days it will be 4 months in Romania (31.09.11). Cannot believe it. Just yesterday I said goodbye to my parents and talked with Elgita in the airport. Hmm.

So, see you soon Lettonia! But until that, still have some business in Romania!  

So, i think that winter is not coming, because today it feels like spring outside! Worm and sunny! :)

New Year’s Eve in Segarca, our apartment

Day 1

Sitting in the kitchen and waiting for the pīrāgi to get ready. Other people are in the living room, laughing about my yesterday’s performance- I sang “Bine bine foarte bine” .Very funny for them. I was just being a party person. Or not.

So. Woke up at 11 o’clock. Went to sleep at 4. Ruff morning (I was in the new Segarceas bar called “Black”. Music-not my cup of tea, but the atmosphere is nice). Went to the market to buy stuff for baking and went home to actually start baking. Second time was better, because the yeast actually was working better this time.

And now, at this moment, we don`t have water, also the electricity is always going on and off. Cool, right?

And now is only 20:21 and Praise and I are already tired, because we didn`t sleep so much.

And now? Now all of us are just having fun in the last day on the year-Romanian style. Some manele, some modern music, some Latvian music (only Cūkas driķos and Ziema). Everybody likes this dance so far and it`s fun also. Hehehe. But exhausting.

Everybody ate pīrāgi very fast, just like my mother`s picmaizītes. Čings and they are gone. Good, because that means, that they were kind of good (a bit burned again, but now I know that it`s the ovens fault, because I saw it this time).

We had petardes and fireworks for the big event. Ah. I was so thrilled actually to blow up petardes, adrenalin a bit, not to blow my fingers off.

Went to bed very early, at 2 o`clock, because I had the worst headache you could have on the New Year`s Eve.

And the party ended too fast. A bit disappointed, but it was okay! I liked it.
